A SIKH MINORITY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION

Guru Tegh Bahadur Public School is a co-educational Senior Secondary School recognized by the Directorate of Education, Delhi Administration as a ‘Recognised Un-aided Private School’ and is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education for the All India Secondary School Examination (Class X) and the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII).    

The School is a Sikh minority institution, established in 1974 and managed by the Guru Tegh Bahadur Public School Society (Regd), Model Town, Delhi,  with a view to provide an institution with a modern approach to education on public school lines as well as inculcating in its students the lofty ideals of the Sikh religion and deriving inspiration from the life of the ninth Sikh Guru whose supreme sacrifice was witnessed by Delhi a few centuries ago.

Aims & Objectives

The School aims at providing value oriented quality education in English medium to the children of desirous residents of Model Town and in its vicinity.

The school’s objective is to provide quality education to fulfil national objectives as envisaged in the National Policy of education, 1986.  In addition to academic excellence, the school aims at development of physical, intellectual, moral and aesthetic potential of the students through co-curricular activities.

Motto

The School draws inspiration from the great ethical and moral principles enshrined in the teachings of the Sikh gurus, combined with the modern techniques of, thus the school motto ‘Vich Duniya Sev Kamayeeai’ (service to mankind).

Guru Tegh Bahadur Public School strives to promote academic excellence by providing world class value based education to children from all sections of society in keeping with the guidelines envisaged in the NPE.

We shall accord priority in admitting children of the Sikh community. Emphasis in the curriculum will be laid on the ethical and moral principles enshrined in the teachings of the great Sikh Gurus.

We focus on the whole child and respect individual needs by fostering a caring environment enabling children to enhance their social, emotional, creative and physical development as well as become respectful and responsible citizens for the future.
